bit.bio is a synthetic biology company, providing human cells for research, drug discovery and cell therapy.

At Orinoco we have been working with the company since shortly after it formed as a spin out from the University of Cambridge in 2017. In that short space of time bit.bio has grown exponentially and attracted hundreds of millions of dollars in funding.

That’s all thanks to its bold mission to transform medicine through synthetic biology.
